How To Make A Rear Projection Screen

Rear projection screens are either used as a substitute of front projection screens or as an assisting screen. Front projection solutions are quite expensive and in order to manage the reflections and landscape requirements, read projection screens are used. Whenever there are space restrictions or simple shadowing, these alternate screens are used. These are generally full wall images of museums, deserts and other sceens. The steps on how to make a rear projection screen are:
  • Select a flexible material, say a tracing paper or Izal toilet paper or a little expensive PVC fabric or lumin vision. If the base material is proper, it will become a good projection screen. The flexible material will enable multi- purpose utility.
  • Choose the size of the material, lets say 10 feet by 10 feet. It will be adequate.
  • Now choose the right coating material. Some coat it with anti- reflective paints and some use a coating to increase contrast. Choose a coating according to your requirement.
  • Now either use it flexibly or staple it to a frame to prevent any slack. Either ways your rear projection screen is ready for use.
It is quite cheap and easy to make rear projection screens. The main thing required to make a good screen is the material. It should be of good quality with a good reflective index. One can save money and yet get a beautiful picture by using rear projector screens. Forget about high costs and space constraints and quickly make a rear projection screen by following the above steps.
